Annual Business Meeting
November 13, 2007
Oasis
President Missy Penkanlski opened the meeting. Job
announcements were made by various people. Missy reminded
everyone that all the committees need help.Meeting was
turned over to Mindy Hill, immediate past president.
Mindy announced the results of the election: Jodie Kates
as president elect; Patty Summerford as Marketing; and
Karen Nelson as Membership. Paula Maize will remain as our
web site administrator. The NP of the Year was announced.
Anna Dryer was elected by a vote of the membership. Meeting
was turned over to Candi Griffin as the new president.
Candi thanked Mindy Hill for her past service as an officer
to APNO.
Reports were as follows:
Treasurer---Anna Evangelista---all bills are paid to date
and the account has $37, 000.00+.
Secretary---Sharon Giboney---no report
Dan Johnson---Marketing---absent
Paula Maize---Membership---dues notices will go out in Jan.
08
Anna Dryer---Conference Chair---a wrap up for 07 and
beginning planning meeting for 08 will be Dec. 3 at
McSaltey’s on east Sunshine at 6pm.
Candi introduced our speaker---Kyna Inman---lobbyist for
MONA. Kyna presented an excellent program on the current
legislative issues and how the APNO group and each of us as
individuals can help garner support for the bill(s) to give
us prescriptive authority for controlled substances in
2008.
Lori Johnson---student NP from MSU gave the group
information on the new student NP group at MSU and their up
coming “Think Tanks”. Brochures w ere passed out regarding
the “Think Tank”.
