2008 APNO Officers and 2007 APN of the Year
November 13, 2007
Yearly Business Meeting was held on November 13. At that
meeting, Mindy Hill, out-going Past President of APNO,
announced the following new officers for 2008:
President-Elect: Jocelyn "Jody" Kates
Membership Coordinator: Karen Nelson
Marketing Chairman: Patty Summerford
We have divided the Membership/Website committee into two
separate committees as the work load has significantly
increased with larger membership.
Paula Maize will be the Website Administrator.
Missy Penkalski, current President, will move to the Past
President position.
Candi Griffin, current President-elect, will move to the
President position.
We want to thank Mindy Hill, and Dan Johnson, outgoing
marketing chairman, for their hard work and dedicated
service to APNO.
In addition, the 2007 Advanced Practice Nurse of the Ozarks
was announced. The award goes to ANNA DRYER. This award
is bestowed on a member who has contributed to the Advanced
Practice Nurses profession through involvement in APNO,
mentoring students, etc. It is voted on by the membership.
Anna was the Conference Coordinator and worked extremely
hard to plan our very successful conference. She is also
the coordinator for APN volunteers for Isabel's House,
crisis nursery of the Ozarks, and precepts APN students.
Congratulations to Anna Dryer.

activities/committees, please contact one of the executive
board or committee chairman. It is a richly rewarding
experience.
