Monthly Educational Meeting
Bijan’s Under the Tower
Pre educational meeting business meeting presided over
President Missy Penkanlski.
Missy, president, discussed the following: need for
candidates for the ballot which will go out in Oct.
Position of president is a three year commitment. Position
fo Marketing will be up for election. Also may consider
splitting the present position of Membership/Website into
two positions. Encouraged someone to consider the position
of Membership chairman.
Announced there was only one sign in sheet tonight.
Candi, president elect, announced that she has already had
reps approaching her about sponsoring meeting for 2008.
Anna, conference coordinator, announced that this year you
can pay on line with a credit card. As of today there are
already 70 room reservations. Please make your room
reservation soon.
Anita, treasurer, reported our current bank balance as of
7-31-07 was $52,742.29.
Sharon, secretary, reminded everyone the deadline for the
scholarship applications is Aug. 15, 07. She also
announced the dates for the MONA APN SIG meeting from now
thru 2008. She encouraged everyone to make plans to attend
at least one meeting next year.
Paula, membership/website, reviewed for all general
information regarding legislative action during the past
year. She also reminded new grads to notify her so she can
change their status on the membership list.
Gayla announced two job opening. One position is in Ava
and one in Marshfield for FNP. Both ate Rural Health
Clinics.
Jennifer Passanise announced she has been appointed by the
governor to the Drug Medicaid Utilization Review Board.
She is the only NP on the Board of physicians and
pharmacists.
Attendance was approximately 40.
