Does anyone have information on where to get training in doing sexual assault assessments? The community here has ask if I would get the training because many of our victims do not want to go Springfield for the assessment, an therefore the attacks go

unprosecuted.

Is your request for training to do exams on children and adolescents (SAFE exams) or on adults (SANE nursing exams)? For SAFE training (pediatrics), the SAFE-CARE network offers training. It is to be scheduled some time in June this year. You can contact Mary List at ListM@dhss.mo.gov for information.

For SANE training (for adults), contact Debbie Yarnell at sanemocasa@msn.com for information. There is also SANE training in the Kansas City, Missouri area. For information, look at their website at www.erworld.com/conversa/index.htm.

Children and adolescents who need SAFE exams can go to sites in Springfield, Monett, Joplin, and Branson West. I work at the Monett site. Let me know if you need other information.
