I am a nurse practioner student currently. I will graduate in December 2007. How soon are they wanting a nurse practitioner? The last semester I can do my clinicals at the place I am going to work. I have been a nurse for 6 years and five of those years have been at St. Johns Surgical Intensive Care Unit in Springfield. I would like to work in the Fordland or Conway area. Kristy, we are both still looking. Here in Fordland we may have another opening late in the year, and doing your last sem. rotation here is a great way for you to get to know us and vice versa. The position now open is a HARD site for a new grad, and and even though we have a 3 month post graduation training program to get you up to speed it takes a fast learning person with a good back ground to be able to handle the work load and degree of independencde here. The next position to open will be easier for a new grad., but we will not have a time line for this until summer. Robert

Still openings in Fordland for part time to full time FNP, Family Practice & Urgent Care. Fordland Clinic is also pre-contracting for a full time FNP in Marshfield (Sept. 2007 can confrim for January 2008 opening) and part time position that will open 6 to 12 months after the first position. Grant for new FQHC clinic pending, award will be in Sept. Will staff with full time physician and full time NP, expanding to 1.5FTE NP over the next year (could start with 0.5 FTE and then add FT). NHSC Student Loan repayment site like Fordland, very competative salary, good benefit package including 403b retirement, flexible scheduling options.
